We believe that (when appropriate) Aliyance's form of international collaboration is especially useful for "amplifying" the implementation capacity of a US team or an individual consultant. The resulting cost efficiency is tremendous. From these trust relationships larger projects often arise, which may have an even larger international component.

It is important to realize that the use of offshore development resources is not a trivial undertaking. Besides obvious cultural and economic disparities, the distance and difference in time zones further complicates the management process.

However once the hurdles are surmounted, the benefits of international development can be impressive, especially considering the vast pool of talent available. At Aliyance, we have been using offshore development teams for several years and as a result have established an effective methodology to manage a geographically diverse development team.

Most importantly, we maintain a proven US manager in close contact to our client at all times. This manager has complete project authority and access to the team. He or she is at the focus of all communication and can ensure that efforts are continually on-track.

Our methodology combines the mature experience and expertise of our US staff with the value of our offshore organizations. We use well-established management techniques and an array of software tools. This produces a collaborative team effort that efficiently delivers quality software implementations. We place considerable emphasis on project status tracking and reporting. Periodic written reports are composed, in conjunction with the sub-task tracking entry to electronic project planning software. Information is continuously communicated within the organization and to our clients via a variety of intranet systems.

There are many India-based and Eastern European development companies who can provide R&D services at lower cost -- but with considerable project risk and potential delay. Our hybrid, collaborative development is the only practical way to tap international economic advantages without jeopardizing project integrity.
